Our Passion

Creating a “Safety Culture” is at the heart of every program that PSS implements for our clients. The word culture is defined as “the quality in a person or society that arises from a concern for what is regarded as excellent in arts, letters, manners, scholarly pursuits, etc.” The goal of developing a safety culture is to instill the qualities that motivate workers to strive to achieve safety excellence.

Culture can also mean “the sum total of ways of living built up by a group of human beings.” Safety culture can only be developed if everyone on your staff works together. Just as a group is only as strong as its weakest member, your staff is only as safe as the least concerned worker. Our ultimate goal is to create an environment where each and every worker becomes personally committed and concerned about his or her own safety.

Safety cultures are ever-evolving. It is not a one-time accomplishment, it is a goal to keep at the center of daily activity for everyone involved in your plant or project.
